VPAP: Philadelphia, Opening Day Oct.15th 2010

The Virtual Public Art Project along with Breadboard, and NextFab Studio are collaborating with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy and DesignPhiladelphia2010 to host the first VPAP exhibit in Philadelphia as part of Design Philadelphia 2010.

VPAP: Philadelphia will place eight virtual sculptures through out the city. The works have been created by eight Philadelphia artist. The artist had the opportunity to work is a medium that otherwise might be inaccessible to there practice. Some artist chose to re-create existing work, while others created new works using imagery from within the city.

The project will also include an informative multimedia exhibit at Breadboard’s Esther Klein Gallery (3600 Market Street) that introduces the Philadelphia community to the ideas and technology behind augmented reality.

Bushwick Augmented Reality Intervention 2010

Opened November 14th, 2010

The Bushwick Art Intervention is an Augmented Reality take over of Bushwick, Brooklyn NY. Artists will rework physical space with computer generated 3d graphics. A wide variety of works ranging from a virtual drug which has broken free of its internet constraints and is now effecting people in the real world,  to a unicorn park,  to serious commentary on the state of United States veterans will be free for the public to view [with correct mobile device].
